Apprentice Tutors

Dear Transportation Maintenance and Technology Association: I am Chris Stubbs, writing to you from Stubbs and Company Consulting. I have received your contact information from Rottena Sparks and John Poirier of Skilled Trades Ontario. I am currently working with Canada’s Virtual Learning Strategy (VLS) program, which provides apprentices with necessary tutoring, to fill educational gaps.
https://www.vls-savcanada.com/en/home.html.

I have been retained to assist with recruiting talented tutors across Canada to help improve apprentices’ success rates. There is an urgent need for skilled tradespeople in the Truck and Transport Mechanic trade (as well as other mechanical trades). The VLS program is currently seeking journeyperson tutors. As apprentices strive toward certification, some struggle with education gaps, skill gaps, learning differences and learning disabilities. It has been our experience that journeypersons have immense value in delivering tutoring with their knowledge and years of experience. The tutors that we are recruiting can work from the comfort of their home or office. This work can be part-time, as an additional source of income (in addition to their regular employment).

I would appreciate the opportunity to present this opportunity to individuals in the Truck and Transport Mechanic trade. Would you be able to provide me with any referrals? I would be happy to meet virtually to discuss further, via Teams or Zoom. I have attached a FAQ for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Christopher Stubbs
