CRITERIA FOR NOMINEES:

Must be registered with the Ministry with Ministry of Training (MTCU) Colleges and Universities and not a licensed technician at time of nomination and time of award.

The registered apprentice must be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT)

The apprentice’s TMTA member company must complete the nomination package in full including immediate supervisor’s name and contact info.

A copy of valid MTCU client ID must accompany the nomination form along with their full name, address, phone number, email address if applicable.

    1 - Safety
      • No time off accidents within the last 12 months.
      • Must have valid W.H.M.I.S. 2015 or GHS training current valid certificate with current employer.
      • Participates in all safety training and updates provided by his/her employer.
      • Takes responsibility of applying and following all safety policies, rules and regulations regardless of others influence.
      • 6.25 points for each = 25

  • 2 - Attitude
    • Displays a positive attitude to fellow employees, employer and customers.
    • Does not engage in looking for ways to get out of work – accepts all challenges as an opportunity to learn and grow.
    • Shows interest in wanting to learn and develop but questions when not certain.
    • Takes instructions and requests from team members and supervisors positively.
    • Accept changes in job direction, shift schedule or required overtime.
    • 5 points for each of the above = 25
  • 3 - Competency
    • Work independently.
    • Work cohesively with others.
    • Keeps proper and accurate documentation of necessary information.
    • Uses appropriate language and clearly describes work performed on work orders.
    • 5 points for each of the above.
  • 4 - Productivity
    • Meets standard repair times
    • Accept work challenges knowing the time allotment may not be attainable.
    • Keep minimum to no comebacks.
    • Perform routine jobs attentively and responsibly.
    • Organizes job requirements to be productive and minimize downtime.
    • 5 points for each if the above = 25
